YOUR MISSION


  •   Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all entities.
  •   Maintain and report on the loan book portfolio — including revenue recognition and credit loss provisions under IFRS 9.
  •   Manage the end-to-end procurement process and oversee the payment approval workflow.
  •   Ensure full compliance with South African tax obligations — VAT returns, corporate tax, and withholding taxes.
  •   Provide day-to-day advisory on local accounting and tax treatment for business transactions across the group.
  •   Support year-end audit preparation, including liaising with external auditors and preparing supporting schedules.
  • Own the day-to-day accounting function — general ledger, journal entries, bank and balance sheet reconciliations, AP/AR processing, and intercompany postings across the group.
  •   Assist with cash flow forecasting and treasury management to support operational and growth decisions.


YOUR PROFILE

  •  Qualified CA(SA) - CIMA also considered for the senior track. Articles completed at a reputable firm.
  •   3-5+ years in financial services or a lending/credit environment 
  •   Strong knowledge of South African tax legislation - VAT, Income Tax, and IFRS 9 provisioning.
  •   Experience with in loan book accounting and financial reporting in a credit business.
  •   High attention to detail, ability to work independently, and comfort operating in a fast-moving startup environment.
  •  Proficiency in SAGE accounting software. 
  • Exposure to fintech, digital lending, or regulated financial services products.
