As Legal Counsel, you provide practical, business-focused legal advice to help the company operate efficiently and in compliance with relevant laws and regulations. You support day-to-day operations by drafting and providing support in the negotiation of contracts, managing legal risk, and interpreting laws and regulations. You also oversee export control compliance, ensuring that our cross-border activities, technologies, and transactions comply with all applicable trade laws, enabling smarter, safer, and globally responsible decision-making throughout the organization.

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide clear, actionable legal advice across a range of corporate matters, including contracts, commercial transactions, employment law, and corporate governance.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and compliance risks in business operations.
- Draft, review, and support in the negotiation of a wide variety of commercial contracts (e.g., NDAs, sales agreements, partnership agreements, distribution agreements, and licensing agreements).
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all export control-related legal issues, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, including U.S. EAR and ITAR, EU dual-use regulations, and other applicable national laws.
- Ensure adherence to data privacy, anti-corruption, competition, and other applicable regulations.
- Engage and manage external legal advisors for specialized legal matters, including litigation, HR, tax, IP, regulatory investigations, cross-border transactions, and M&A.
- Maintain and improve the company’s legal document and contract management system, ensuring accurate storage, version control, and easy retrieval of key legal documents.
- A valid work permit for Switzerland is required for this position.
YOUR BACKGROUND AND SKILLS:
- Law Degree from an accredited institution; admission to the bar in a relevant jurisdiction preferred.
- 3–7 years of post-qualification experience, ideally in both a reputable law firm and an in-house legal department.
- Solid understanding of corporate, commercial, and contract law.
- Demonstrated experience in export control compliance, particularly with regimes such as EU dual-use regulations and U.S. EAR / ITAR
- Experience supporting cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, sales, supply chain, HR) with legal guidance.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills across a variety of contract types.
- Ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical business advice.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
- High integrity and sound judgment under pressure, particularly when balancing legal risk and business needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build trust across all organizational levels.
- Experience working with or managing a contract/document management system or CLM platform.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international, and cross-cultural environment.
- Proactive and solution-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership.
