Support and Service Specialist - North America

As a Support and Service Specialist at Loft Dynamics, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support for our products and systems to our clients in North America. You will perform initial provisioning and commissioning of the simulators at our demanding customers' sites troubleshoot and resolve issues both remotely and on-site if needed, perform diagnostics, and ensure optimal system performance. You will collaborate closely with different departments like IT, Engineering, etc. 

You are used to carrying out the work assigned to you independently, on time and with the highest level of quality. Team spirit is not just an empty phrase with us.  An excellent proservice technician should always strive to improve efficiency productivity and the quality of the product. They contribute with suggestions and are open to change.  

You will also be responsible for maintaining our demonstration office in Santa Monica in pristine condition, ready at all times for a customer visit, and ensuring that our Loft Dynamics simulator is ready and operational at all times. 

Your high level of willingness to travel, strong communication skills and command of the English language round off your profile. 


YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Installation and commissioning at our customers locations 
  • Carrying out repair work, upgrades and preventive maintenance tasks 
  • Feedback recurring and new problems to engineering. Participate in finding solutions 
  • Managing and providing support for inhouse Demo Sims and ensuring everything is ready for demos or customers visits (repairs, quarterlies, preventive maintenance)  
  • Support the customers complaints handling 
  • Manage the Loft Dynamics simulator office and H125 simulator in Santa Monica 


YOUR BACKGROUND AND SKILLS:

  • Ideally 2-3 years of work experience in repair of flight simulators, advanced industrial equipment, IT infrastructure or similar items 
  • Very good communication skills in in English incl. technical English. 
  • Basic knowhow of MS-Office 
  • High flexibility, reliability 
  • Structured work approach that doesn’t need much supervision 
  • Motivated team player 
  • Willingness to travel (up to 50%)  
  • Can secure an appropriate passport for international travel 


Desired 

  • Passion for Aviation or even some experience
