Microsoft System Engineer

As a Microsoft System Engineer, you will maintain the company’s workplace and communication infrastructure. This includes planning, implantation, and day-to-day management of the firm’s technology. With your expertise, you can assist the engineering team in maintaining the Windows based devices in our flight simulation solutions.

You will be involved in building and maintaining services as well as starting new projects. We are looking for a person who collaborates closely with our infrastructure team running our self-operated data center. With a service-oriented mindset, you help run the internal helpdesk. You can show your programming skills to automate monitoring, maintenance tasks, and business processes.

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Designing and implementing information systems for the organization
  • Procurement of IT components
  • Prepare and configure IT equipment for team members
  • Provide Windows Configuration and Deployment Processes
  • Configure identity and access management
  • Maintain service and business continuity
  • Staying up to date with industry trends and technologies and making recommendations for improvement
  • On-call duty

YOUR BACKGROUND AND SKILLS:

  • Diploma of higher education (HF) or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar major
  • A minimum of 3 to 4 years of real-world experience as a system or M365 engineer
  • Strong knowledge of the Windows operating system
  • Programming skills in a language like PowerShell, Python or C#
  • Cloud Services Knowledge (Azure AD, Intune, M365)
  • Advanced networking skills
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English
  • Upstanding work ethic and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to solve problems independently

A PLUS WOULD BE:

  • Experience with virtualization technologies 
  • Familiarity with information security concepts 
  • Experience with rapidly growing companies
