Medior Software Engineer

Are you a versatile web developer with a passion for maps, high-quality visualizations, and good products? We are looking for an experienced developer who can become the tech lead. Your role will involve designing, and developing a complex mapping application. Join our team as a software engineer for the backend part of software focused on maps.

You may have already used MapTiler to check the weather forecast, purchase train or plane tickets, or book a room for your last vacation. We even help during humanitarian crises. Our maps are part of apps and websites produced by companies and freelance developers from all over the world. More than 350 million people use MapTiler maps in their daily lives every month. • Design of architecture of new solutions, their development, and implementation

• Prepare a new REST API structure to connect with other applications

• Design database structure and models for the software

• Continuous improvement of the existing software solutions

• Collaborate with the Data Analyst and Product Manager

• Over 4 years of experience in software development, with extensive expertise in Python (ideally Flask) for web application development

• Working with DB (PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy)

• Docker experience

• Precision, consistency, and being organized in your work

• A team player who collaborates on a common outcome

• A strong drive for self-improvement, learning, and sharing knowledge

• Interest in maps, cartography

• Orientation in the map industry

• Understand FrontEnd technology stack (ReactJS, NextJS)

• Hourly fixed salary based on your experience
