Sales Manager

To support our sales team in North America, we are seeking a Regional Sales Manager (Commercial) with a strong aviation background. If you have in-depth industry knowledge, a results-driven mindset, and a passion for building lasting customer relationships, we would love to have you on board.

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Report directly to the Vice President, North America
  • Promote and sell any new products and service offerings, as introduced by Loft Dynamics.
  • Work closely with Vice President, North America on identifying new potential customers for Loft Dynamics’ simulators
  • Sell the value of the OEM
  • Maintain knowledge of competitor offerings and market requirements
  • Drive market analysis for your sector to guide opportunity identification best
  • Routinely visit customers to build and maintain profitable long-term relationships with new and existing operators.
  • Identifying customer operational needs
  • Determining service needs of existing customers and providing feedback to the Service department
  • Lead commercial negotiations with customers and internal departments regarding pricing, services, and incentives.
  • Participate in Loft Dynamics and industry trade shows, as required
  • Actively maintain sales pipeline and complete required reporting activity within Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool or other systems as needed.
  • Within the established guidelines, manage non-labor expense budget and submit expense reports in a timely manner. 


YOUR BACKGROUND AND SKILLS:

  • You have five (5) years’ experience in helicopter, fixed-wing aircraft, or aviation simulator sales
  • You possess Product knowledge of the helicopter industry, esp. Airbus Helicopters
  • You have working knowledge of aircraft operators and what their challenges are
  • You have sufficient knowledge and awareness of FAA regulatory requirements governing aircraft operations and training
  • You possess leadership skills necessary to engage teams to impact and influence results
  • You have the necessary skills to confront sales obstacles in an objective, professional manner
  • You have strong communications experience in both verbal and written form.
  • You are able to work in teams or independently as situation requires with urgency and drive
  • You have the ability to develop and execute a business strategy to achieve short and mid-range (1 – 2 years) sales targets
  • You are autonomous, independent and self-motivated
  • You are able to manage time and prioritize tasks
  • You have the skills necessary to learn and / or operate word processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail and web-based applications
  • You can travel extensively (up to three weeks per month) and on demand if necessary to support sales efforts
  • You can secure an appropriate passport for travel to Canada and Mexico
  • You are flexible to travel and attend meetings before / after regularly scheduled hours
  • Fluent in English, and can ideally speak a foreign language (i.e German, Spanish, Portuguese)
  • You ideally possess a bachelor’s degree
  • Ideally you have a pilot certification (either helicopter or fixed-wing)
